Ever since I was introduced to idealistic, homestead living – around the age of 18 – I have dreamed of having my home being powered by solar. That was nearly 30 years ago, and here I am – finally solar-powered!
I worked with Suncommon and they made it so easy. It’s all very fresh – in fact, it’s not even live yet (should be by the end of the week) – but this big step is now very real and very exciting.
The system is made up of 24 panels and is 7.920kWDC (STC) and is scaled to cover all of my electrical needs over the course of the year, which includes most of my heating costs via a cold-climate heat pump.
The system comes with a very detailed monitoring system and I’ll post my progress along the way!
